Front Cover

For my front cover i chose to put a medium close up shot of a student as this would'nt be to hard to cut and edit, I also chose to use a Hummer as the background image i took as it is a well known and eyecatching car.   

Contents Page

For my contents page i also chose a picture of the same student and the front cover story as the centre piece. the shot is a close up with the start of the story bellow to get the reader interested. The contents page is mainly text as this i thought would give a more informative way of showing the stories and what they are about.  

 I used this picture because it looks like someone who would do reviews and this picture seemed to fit with the look and feel of the contents page.

The second image i used to promote the offer the magazine has of '1 year free car insurance'.

Evaluation

My actual front cover was a little different than my mock-up, but it did follow the same lines. For example my main image was origanlly a different stundet leaning against a car, but this proved to hard to recreate when it came down to actually taking the photo, and the imagined car was expensive and I knew no one who had the car. So instead I chose an old picture of a hummer that i took at a wedding and then cut out an image of a different student to give the effect that the two images are one. This worked well as shown threw my WWW and EBI, as they said the images where clear and and was good to use as a big main image. I also changed some stories as the origanal ones where not very eye-catching and interesting.
